Lookie here, folks… I don’t write about a lot of food events, because there are so dang many of ’em, that’s all I’d have time to write about and that ain’t what this blog is about. Our friends at Wrench and Rodent Seabasstropub, however, are doing one in a few weeks that’s crazy cool and worth a shout out.
They’re doing a little fundraiser for Wild Wonders, a wildlife refuge and training center in North San Diego County that focuses on preservation and public education regarding wildlife. Wild Wonders has some pretty cool tours, events and educational programs that they offer to the public.
Now, I know we all like to stay home in the air conditioning with our kitties and puppies and parakeets and hamsters. But these wildlings deserve some love, too. Think back to the days when you had a life…errr, I mean more vigor and vitality. You know, back when you could run all day and night because you were a lean, mean machine. That’s these guys.
Wrench and Rodent has two seatings on Sunday, August 21st, at 12:30 and 3:00 where you can eat some of the best dead fish in town, interact with, for sure, the coolest wild animals around and do your good deed of the century. Click here to get your tickets now and they’re only $50.
In case you hadn’t noticed, that’s a pretty dang good deal for some of the best sushi in town all by itself, but throw in beer, wine and the fact that all proceeds go to the care and treatment of these cuddly little critters…you seriously haven’t signed up for this, yet?
P.S. You can pay at the door, but it’ll cost you an extra $10 bucks, and it’ll serve you right if they’re all sold out. I’ll be standing in the pre-paid admission line laughing and saying, “I told you so…” See ya’ there and Cheers, my friends!
